CRZ Type R

i know this was still a rumours but as what is claimed, Honda Japan with collaboration/independant work from Honda tuning meister, Mugen, they will boost this little 1.5 litre 'petrolectric' powertrain from 122 bhp up to 200 bhp. Standard engine comes with 1o2 bhp engine power plus 20 bhp more from the electric motor, while upgraded version will be 150 engine and 50 electric). this ride will cruise up to 140 mph, hope so....

i've also been browsing for some other tuning competitors and they also been working hard to tweaked this legendary reborn CRX to the max, such as spoon,HKS, Noblesse etc.... perhaps more coming soon from Skunk2, Greddy, MM and such....so now i really have to doubled my saving.....damn!!!

as i was sitting alone at home after a painfull M.O.S i had this morning, i browse some input to be stucked in my brain as i was damn bored, and this came across the web.

Break In Piston

some might question what is this all about. since i already have my rex stalled a few times before and it make me thinking of what is this guy telling have some good point. please have a browse and understand this slowly.....

im guessing somebody still couldn't get it right....well, our people will called it 'lining in',or 'masak blok/piston' or whatever it named...it similar...
this method only can apply for a new piston ring replacement or boring done an a new block. for those who already had their car for a few years ahead, you're too late.

though this 'motoman' always refering this to his bikes concept, but this method also can be applied to most of the cylindrical engine, cars,bikes,boats,or even lawnmower as long as it have a reciprocating process.

i found that most of the article was simple and easy to understand, yet could help us a lot in maintaining and releasing more HP in our horses, even a tiny little tips does give a very good point....thanks Motoman....you're the man....hehe

got to learn more and gain more....and rex will be sent out tomorrow...we will try to implement this method,and hoping it would last..... :)

CRZ Debut 2011,CRX next-G,at last!!!!

after a few years waiting in patient not to knowing whether this pocket rocket gonna make to production or not,after a 'not so hard' searching & browsing (right now it's 5:20 am...) at last her younger sister was born!!!though she's only make her first debut in US, there is still hope that she is gonna make her appearance in malaysia next year (hope so...soon).

with 1.5 litre cubic capacity with IMA hybrid technology, it's gonna be much more driving fun & pleasure as honda produce a 3 driving mode system for this lovely car: sport mode for 'extreme' driving pleasure, of course (as in low HP 'extreme' made for girls ;p ), normal mode for normal cruising & normal people, and economic mode for 'pocket friendly' user. a number of 122 HP is considered a good figure (mine was 132HP only) since this baby only can carry 2 person (like mine as u all know) plus it does came with 6 speed tranny (not so like my rex...damn!!). more it doesn't have the 'pilot friendly' center console like mine, but a more rainbowlicious meter cluster for sure.....make it more futuristic & 'pilotic' feel...dang!hey,they do come in RED as one of the standard production colour scheme,wuuhuuuuu!!!!

been so long since my last thread. actually i've done a few mod to my beloved rex for this past few month but i'm really not in the mood of bloggin' it. one of the reason is because i've lost my leisure time. other reason, my rex was in her worst condition right now....she had been diagnosed to have a 'jantung berlubang'....and now she just sleeping all day, wont eat and just sit still under the porch. i really hope that someday, maybe someday, i cud get enough fund to support her heart transplant....soon baby,soon....Aminnn....

My Rex Build 1.7 (Mugen Bodykit)

Actually this post should be posted before previous 2 post but,who give a damn about organizing, what matters is just the build....hahahah

its been a long wait for me to perform this all by myself.after getting my bodypart back from Shah Alam last time,i try to fix in the EF8 rear bumper but the stuff didn't come with the full bracket on it,considering that i might use my existing bracket from EF7 bumper.pity me,the bracket was badly corroded i cant even open a screw out of it.so im gonna leave it until i can get another bracket.

i guess it my time to unleashed my another option for the butt-ass part,my long awaited Mugen CRX Pro2 kit.after once off fitment, it seem like it does fit nicely without any 'ketuk2 body' job (its kinda hard if you work alone though,believe me...) and WALLA!!!! my rex is on its way to her world of 'Mugenizer'....actually i want to complete this when my fund of paintjob and bodywork is more than enuff so i can fix some crack on the kit...i've warn u its gonna be a slow build....hehe

My Rex Build 1.5.2 (New Stuff)

i'm just got back home here in kemaman, breathing peacefully since my baby was all intact,in one piece.....Alhamdulillah.....as what i've mention earlier,my hope for getting my sunroof fixed after raya was left as a false hope...the thing only can be done this Wednesday...i think i've already give this guy enuff time to get the job done...maybe they can finished a paintjob for 4 car by that time....sigh....nah bout it.

a day before raya,i received 2 separate packages delivered in 2 different address (one here in kemaman,another back in my in law in Ipoh). guess this will be my raya gift bought by myself for myself (man,i don't do raya shopping except for this,trust me...). the stuff in the packages was a pair of 'Spoon Type One' sticker (i gave this to my bro in law for his SatNeo since i saw him 'belek'ing it for about.....i dunno,many time maybe....hehe),1 piece of 'I Love CRX' cutout sticker, and another big twin packages consist of Mugen Sport Absorber. i do hope this one will function perfectly since i already had a bad time with one of the adjustable i bought last time.

last month, i've sent my sunroof panel for some fabricating works (refer previous post - My Build Thread 1.6 (sunroof & interior strip)). i was hoping that it can be done before we all balik kampung for raya fest, but unlucky-ly my 'pomen' said it only can be done on Saturday.kinda frustated of the answer, guess i have to leave my rex without proper security back at my home,praying hardly that nothing bad is gonna happen to my baby....i promised her that i'm gonna make her 'alive' back after coming back from raya.got some stuff prepared for the rex to be hopping again.

guys,just wait for the 'Redrex' comeback......soon.

My Friend's makeover - Zunnur Rims Repaint

i'm already been booked for this long weekend for some paint job with my friend Zunnur. he want to repaint his stock Honda SV4 rim though i guess he already has plenty of other nice rim in his store back home. what the hell do u need the stock rim to be painted then?hahahaha.

straight to work,i've already asked him to prepare and strip his old paint just to make my life easy...but then still i need to make some grit work and cleaning done..*sigh*.luckily i was so free to do that...u're one lucky man...

i thot it was haji samuri spray paint...made from stirred kuah kacang....yummy...metallic brown.

since we couldn't find any Pylox paint that match owner needs, so we have to go with this. pre-planned is to paint it STI/SSR bronze....if only they got some of this colour code in the market, i would try it also.

after pic....it looks like dark purple metallic to me....





i'm not so good in painting metallic coz it's a bit tricky. sumore it was a cast iron body compare to alloy that is way more easy for sanding.

i manage to finish a pair of it, so another pair left next time.i think i don't have to write bout it again. it's the same repeatable process though....

dont be confused by the tittle, its definitely not a naughty america porno stuff.

been busy working and getting my hands dirty, now i'm adding some post, not about me. just wanna share a few thing so that my friends can read this and be proud of it (even i know they're not gonna read this....hahahaha). it's like a featured ride in some mags, in digital, but much simpler.

last few week went 'jalan2 cari barang potong' day with Khuzairul & Al-Zunnur (i've been told that he's from arab,so dont be surprised by the name....is it??). AFAIK, the only famous halfcut in kuantan were Gemok,Shimouji (at first I thot it was semuji) & Taiyo. hoping that i might find something for my rex, but still i can't hope much for the 'almost 20 year old power of dream machine'.

found this cut instead-EF8 B16A CRX big V last model. at first i was totally surprised by the mileage done by this engine, it's 65K worhhhh!!!!Damn mint!!!!(just try to be surprised la, we never knew if somebody have reversed the meter or not). but after asking the price, it's over for me. i still couldn't afford to pay that halfcut without bodypart for 7k nett!!!!(i've gone thru the negotiation part,hit me, its useless).

other than that, nothing much i can find....

so we went to federal motorsport, browse some stuff and find some intresting item also. but sorry if im not telling it now because i didn't bought it yet....just be patient.
then went to P1 Motorsport, try to get an Ultra Racing bars for my friend's SatNeo & Vios. they're promoting a new CF stiker for those who want to make their ride CF lookalike. sorry,intrested but not for the moment...haha.

forgot to mention that we ride on my friend's stock Honda Civic ES 1.7. this walkabout was actually meant for him after been labeled as 'kereta jinjang & siamese plate num' (sorry if i revealed it too much, but its damn true bro....heheh). now he hardly need some minor makeover, first of all - plate num. man, it was damn old skool, so please get rid of it quick. i guess he couldn't stand the laugh & make his move. good for u.now the joke is over. here's the nice stuff, & nice RS grill



my other friends (Bakor) came by with his Gen2. he had smoked his stock lamp, fabricate in P1 Motorsport for about rm150, i guess. so at least he can be proud of his mod lamp, and now a new pair of nice rims ( at least its not that ugly stock,keep it up bro).



going home empty handed though, but im happy for my friends for not making joke of him anymore. my ride still got a lot of work to do also.for the good of motorsport world, there's still a lot of things to learn & discover (er...plus modified). though it was a slow makeover, it still can be done....just keep the faith

My Rex Build 1.6 (Sunroof & Interior Strip)

i'm back...after a long time i guess. since i have the net at home, i can continue where i left before...
actually my rex is having a very long sleep already (due to discharge battery/alternator for not having it started for a long time...never do this please), just now i had a new battery replacement. don't ask about the brand, it's cap ayam (janji boleh jalan sudahhh....). news from taukeh kedai battery, "tak lama lagi harga bateri musti mau naik lagi woo, kalau u tak percaya u boleh cek dlm itu internet, itu harga timah sudah naik woo...." i dont know wheter i have to believe that since for me it just a some kind of business trick. everybody do that, some more i still can't get some discount from this apek for MS12 century battery, damn!!

for the past month, i did some godek2 on my rex while im bored. i'm planning to strip my interior and service my sunroof because its been leaking since the day i ride it (I know it was long ago already....). cant stand to be a moving 'kolam ikan' anymore. so the progress begin...

actually i'm planning to refabricate a fibre roof panel if possible but still waiting for a good fibre shop to do that. from what i've been observing there is no shop in kemaman can do that...pity me.
